High-Velocity Air Movers/Soft Dig Technology
Technological growth within the industrial sector has yet to peak and daily functions are becoming more efficiently operated. Advancements in the construction of vacuum trucks have allowed for air-moving technology to develop simultaneously. High-velocity air movers are designed for moving large quantities of liquids, solids and debris with little to no need for personal contact with the media. High-powered air movers, when used appropriately and in the right applications, reduce costs and exposure.
Lewis uses high-velocity air-moving equipment to provide routine maintenance for ash, carbon, sand and other filter media systems. In addition, our fleet of high-powered vacuum equipment assists in the removal of liquids and sludge from storage tanks, hoppers and dust collectors.
Our air movers are equipped for onsite work as well as offsite transportation of the evacuated wastes. Once waste is conveyed into our vacuum truck tanks, transportation to a client-approved disposal facility can be executed immediately, which eliminates the need to double- or triple-handle waste. Additionally, Lewis’ high-velocity vacuum trucks are designed with a hydraulic dump bed which allows them to dump waste directly into a 20-yard roll-off container prior to disposal.
